That's a One With Five Zeros

Here's the big news at Michael Kaiser's Haus today...

RadiOblivion has just passed the 100,000 downloads mark! I'm pretty excited about that because it means that plenty of people are enjoying "Better Living Through Discarded Music". Of course that number is for total downloads of all episodes, not a per episode number - I sure don't want to be misleading here. The number is added up using the stats of two separate podcast hosts. The 1st 8 episodes (I think. It may be the 1st 9 but I'm just not going to look it up right now) were hosted at Podshow.com (now Mevio). I switched to Blip.tv at episode 9. I never did close the account at Podshow, so those have continued to garner downloads. On average RadiOblivion gets about 3,000 downloads per episode - give or take a few hundred depending on the quality of the episode, I guess. However, the most recent episode stats shows to have over 1,600 downloads in the 1st 24 hours of it's release! If that number is accurate, it is about double the norm.

I have to thank Kopper at GaragePunk.com for inviting me to join the GaragePunk Podcast Network way back at episode No.9 of RadiOblivion. It's an absolute honor to be a part of the largest and best of it's kind in the world. It's real primitive Rock 'N' Roll podcasted daily to yer computer machines and MP3 players of choice! Without the powerhouse of the GPPN I wouldn't have the reach that I enjoy.

And a bigger "Thank-ee" to all the folks that subscribe, download, listen, and share RadiOblivion. I appreciate all the feedback I get to the fullest. Continue bringing yer friends to the party... and remember:

Blow Yer Radio Up, Baby!
