RadiOblivion No.38

After an unplanned, but welcome six week haitus, it's time for RadiOblivion No.38...

Presenting a feat of daring never before attempted in podcasting—well, not on purpose anyway: Over an hour’s worth of specially handcrafted silence.

That is right! Pure, unadulterated silence.

However, due to a mix-up at the studio, listeners may experience a spot here or there where the vacuum of sound is partially broken up by some detectable levels of auditory stimuli by such POUNDERS as the Lone Twister, Left Arm, The Jinxes, Dean Morgan, Satan’s Pilgrims, The Inner Thoughts, Dynamites, Ray Daytona and the Googoobombos, Jumpin’ Beans and Willie, the Jungle Rockers, and maybe 11 or 12 other acts.

An experiment in sound brought to you by Michael Kaiser in association with the GaragePunk Podcast Network.

Blow Yer Radio Up, Baby!!

  1. This has always been one of my favorite Bill Haley tunes. I like this version.

  2. Oh yeah, brother! 13 Women and Teenager's Mother are my two absolute favorite Bill Haley songs. Gosh, how many hours did we spend listening to The Comets back in ancient times?

This version by The Renegades is an absolute pounder! It's on a compilation that I've had for a zillion years called What A Way To Die and has been a favorite ever since. The vocal delivery is flawless. Close enough to the edge without falling over the precipice! RAWK 'N' Roll.

  3. Yup. In fact my boys have been listening to the Comets in their room at night.

That Franny Beecher sure could flat a fifth note.
